APR 101: Virtual Info Session on Accreditation in Public Relations

Austin chapter professionals considering earning their Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) are welcome to register for our APR 101 virtual info session on Friday, Aug. 9, 2024 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Central time. The session will be recorded and shared with all registrants.

Accreditation in public relations is a credential that demonstrates professional competence, expertise and the highest standards of excellence in the practice of public relations.

The session will cover all the basics about accreditation to help inform chapter members to commit to earning their APR or consider earning their APR in the future.

The session will include:

1.       The process overview: Apply, study, panel presentation and examination

2.       Resources available to earn APR free including the free APR Study Guide and textbook recommendations

3.       A suggested timeline and local cohort options to enable success

4.       The panel presentation purpose and rigor

5.       An overview of the computer-based APR examination (online proctor company called Examity)
