In an ever-evolving media landscape, ethical practices in public relations have become a cornerstone of successful communication strategies. This event is designed to explore the critical role that ethics plays in shaping the narratives, trust, and transparency that define our industry.


  Christy Sievert
Senior PR Specialist for Cleerly and Founder of Sievert Communications

Christy Sievert is a communications professional with 14 years of marketing, advertising, and public relations experience. She is the senior PR specialist for Cleerly and the founder of Sievert Communications.

Christy specializes in nonprofit, education, tech, and healthcare public relations working with publicaitons like Forbes, Venture Beat, and TechTarget. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota in business marketing and an MBA from Strayer University. She has been nationally recognized for communications achievements with Ad 2 Honolulu and currently serves as VP of communications for Women Communicators of Austin.


Kathleen Lucente
Owner & CEO of RedFan Communications
Kathleen Lucente has witnessed and played a part in the evolution of communications ever since her entrance into the tech industry more than 20 years ago, first as a journalist, then as a PR professional. Nothing if not resolute, Kathleen has acted as a public relations guide for some of the largest technology companies and some of the smallest, most promising startups during many of the most turbulent times in tech, from the rise of global telecommunications, nanotechnology and personal computing to international mergers, acquisitions and IPOs.

After 25 years in the industry on both the agency and corporate side she now calls Austin, Texas home and runs her own PR and marketing firm, Red Fan Communications. Red Fan is a strategic partner for dynamic B2B tech and consumer brands and she is most proud to work with a stellar team that creates compelling stories and makes meaningful connections for companies of all sizes.

Jamie Matusek
CEO of Bloom Communications
Jamie is an executive with over 28 years of experience in leadership, operations, team, and culture development, in addition to helping organizations differentiate themselves and grow through integrated marketing communications. She began her career in consumer market research, website development, and leading brand relaunches, supporting and implementing well-known campaigns such as the Cheerios Kids campaign for General Mills Cheerios.

At Bloom Communications, Jamie leads the agency as CEO focused on establishing client partnerships and relationship-building with nonprofits and companies making an impact in the world around them. She is an allied resource for client and team member growth, development, and leadership.

Described as an encourager, she is passionate about helping others “skip rungs on the ladder” by finding their true passions and strengths. She is a dynamic motivational and educational speaker and certified leadership coach, leading sessions on topics including internal communications, culture development, leadership, and topics related to overcoming limiting mindsets and obstacles.

Jamie serves on the board of Restoration Covenant Church and supports and contributes to nonprofits including Well Aware, The Good Deeds Society, and Dress for Success Austin.
