Monica Talan

With more than two decades of experience in strategic communications and public relations, Mónica Talán is a dynamic entrepreneur and award-winning leader in the field of communications and innovation. She is the founder of CryptoConexión, a Spanish-language platform that drives awareness and engagement about blockchain and AI. She is a partner at CommsColllectiv, offering fractional access to an unparalleled roster of communications experts, delivering a perfect blend of quality, flexibility, and cost-efficiency

Previously, Mónica built and led communications teams at Vrio Corp, a leading digital entertainment provider in Latin America; ADT, the security provider; and Univision, the Spanish-language media company. She also served as Chief Mission Officer of EdTech startup Genius Plaza and co-founded her consultancy, working with startups and consumer brands. Before Univision, she spent ten years at Fleishman-Hillard working with leading organizations including AT&T, ONDCP, and Procter & Gamble.

Passionate about diversity, gender equality, and entrepreneurship, Monica has been an advisor for the Google Launchpad and has offered workshops on positioning for Morgan Stanley’s Multicultural Innovation Lab. 

Originally from Mexico City and raised in Laredo, Texas, Mónica holds a Bachelor's in Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin. She currently resides in Austin, Texas.
